Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to all electrical work quoted and performed by HS Electrical Services, Sterling Heights, Michigan.
1. Estimates and pricing
Estimates are based on the conditions visible at the time of inspection. If hidden damage, non-compliant existing wiring or additional work is discovered, we will stop, explain the change and get your approval before continuing. Estimates are valid for 30 days.
2. Scheduling and access
Appointments are scheduled during business hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. You agree to provide safe access to the work area, the electrical panel and any relevant utility connections. If we cannot access the site at the scheduled time, a call-out fee may apply.
3. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work unless agreed otherwise in writing. For larger projects a deposit may be required before materials are ordered. Balances unpaid after 30 days may be subject to a late fee.
4. Workmanship warranty
Our labour is warranted for 12 months from the date of completion. Manufacturer warranties apply to fixtures, panels, breakers and other supplied parts. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, tampering, storm or power-utility events, rodent damage, or work later altered by someone else.
5. Permits and code
Where a permit or inspection is required, we will tell you before work begins and the cost is billed as part of the job. All work is performed to current Michigan electrical code. We may decline to connect to existing wiring that we consider unsafe until it is corrected.
6. Existing conditions and liability
We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, undersized service, or drywall, paint, landscaping and finish work disturbed by necessary access. Patching and refinishing are not included unless quoted. Our liability is limited to the value of the work performed.
7. Cancellation
Please give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations after materials have been custom-ordered may be charged for those materials.
8. Photos and privacy
Information you send through the contact form is used only to respond to your request and schedule work. We may photograph completed work for our portfolio; identifying details are never published, and you can ask us not to use photos of your property.
